About the Role Build the platform behind better engineering. Resmed is seeking a Platform Engineering Manager to lead a critical Platform Engineering team responsible for building and operating a cloud-native compute platform on AWS and Kubernetes. This role combines people leadership with deep technical ownership. You will manage a distributed team across India and Sydney, overseeing a foundational platform that supports thousands of services and multiple engineering teams globally. As a leader, you are expected to bring strong technical credibility and proven people leadership, with the ability to operate across strategy and execution, ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, reliable, and continuously evolving to meet business and developer needs. What You’ll Do Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing distributed Platform Engineering team across India and Sydney. Own and operate a large-scale, cloud-native compute platform that underpins Resmed’s global products. Drive platform strategy, roadmap, and execution aligned with engineering and business priorities. Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence, including 24/7 production support and incident management. Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure. Partner with engineering, architecture, security, and business stakeholders to drive outcomes and platform adoption. Improve developer experience through self-service platform capabilities and standardization Establish and evolve engineering standards, best practices, and operational processes Lead incident reviews, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and engineering excellence What You’ll Bring 10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering 2+ years experience leading & developing engineering teams Technical background in large-scale platform or infrastructure engineering Expertise in Kubernetes platform management (AWS EKS, Azure AKS, or GCP GKE) Experience operating complex, multi-tenant, distributed platforms in production environments Good understanding of cloud-native architectures, networking, security, observability, and operational excellence Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and modern engineering practices Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Demonstrated ability to balance technical strategy, execution, and people leadership.
