EY’s Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) practice supports clients across different domains: Supply Chain, Procurement, Operational Excellence (both in Manufacturing and Services Organizations) and Smart Factory. In this role as Manager, your focus will be on Procurement.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Manager Procurement, you are the driving force behind meaningful transformation projects at our clients. Your key role will be to deliver projects that improve our client’s business performance. Drawing on your knowledge, skills and experience, you will manage procurement transformation projects and identify- and start new related projects. Further responsibilities are:

• Build, maintain and strengthen internal and client relationships to increasingly become a trusted point of contact and identify new business opportunities in an international environment (e.g. by responding to RFP’s, developing proposals and thought leadership).
• Deliver Procurement projects for industry-leading clients in and outside the Netherlands, within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Deliver solutions for complex and existing challenges in the field of Procurement (e.g. Sustainability regulations and compliance, spend analysis and/or cost optimization).
• Contribute to and be an active member of a core project team, often working with others from different parts of EY’s world.
• Maintain an understanding of advancements in digital procurement and analytics.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE

• Ideally, 6-8 years’ experience in a Procurement related environment (Consulting or business).
• Excellent analytical capabilities, entrepreneurial spirit, intrinsic motivation to help establish & strengthen relationships with our clients, drive, enthusiasm, conceptual thinking, communication and influencing skills and pragmatism in execution.
• Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to identify and cultivate quality relationships, transforming them into business opportunities and effectively selling consulting projects to drive sustained business growth.
• Leadership experience with a people-oriented mindset and commitment to support the development of others, through taking on coaching and counselling roles for team members in an international environment.
• A master’s degree preferably in the field of Business, Operations management, or Supply Chain Management and fluent language skills in English.
