• Responsibility for defined product groups
• Development and implementation of purchasing strategies to optimize procurement costs and processes
• Analysis and evaluation of national and international procurement markets
• Negotiation of contracts and terms for sustainable and economical supplier relationships
• Supplier management including evaluation and development within the product groups to be managed, as well as claim management.
• Continuous improvement and optimization of existing purchase prices
• Collaboration with international subsidiaries on a cross-site procurement strategy
• Participation in purchasing and interdisciplinary projects
• Regular reporting to the Head of Purchasing

WHAT SETS THEM APART

• Completed technical or commercial studies or comparable training with a technical background
• Several years of professional experience in purchasing drawing-relevant parts (ideally in metal technology) as well as strong commercial and technical expertise
• Entrepreneurial thinking and action, as well as negotiation skills
• Resilience combined with high commitment
• Teamwork skills and positive interaction with people
• Fluent English skills
• Proficient use of SAP and MS Office
• Willingness to travel on business, including to countries outside Europe
