Job Description Summary The Program Manager must have strong practical experience in project management, which was gained through managing large and complex projects.Connection and interface between Engineering, Supply Chain and Customer facing organizations focused on product/ manufacturing readiness, execution and delivery. Site Overview: Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defence and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Prime interface with Engineering on development and demonstrator programs. Define and execute roles, responsibilities and processes to achieve overall program goals on cost and to schedule. Focal for all aspects of program communication and reviews with Supply Chain leadership. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Most decisions are within a defined framework, but some autonomy in the final decisions for a project, product line, market, sales process or customers. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions. A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations. Daily program management throughout the program life cycle. Defining the program governance (controls) Planning the overall program and monitoring the progress Managing the program’s budget. Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements. Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies Managing and utilizing resources across projects Managing stakeholders’ communication Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the program’s “outcome” with the aid of the business change manager; and Managing the main program documentations such as the program initiation document. Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques; Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program; Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management; Strong leadership and management skills; Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures; and The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering in Mechincal / Electrical from an accredited college or university Minimum 8 -11 years of work experience in manufacturing / program management. PMP Certified, good knowledge on Microsoft project or equivalent. Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma knowledge & training Proficiency in Lean, Oracle applications & MS Office Strong EHS Background The Ideal Candidate: Hands on experience in Program Management. Understanding risk identification and mitigation good knowledge on operational activities.
