The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Perform secretariat duties for the funding initiative(s), including running of grant calls, convening of evaluation panels and engagement of various stakeholders.
Execute policies and processes pertaining to the administration of the funding initiative(s).
Communicate the funding initiative(s)’s policies and processes to public sector research performers.
Liaise with grantees on pre- and post-award matters.
Regularly review progress of awarded grants to ensure that KPIs, milestones and budget utilisation are on track.
Build excellence in grants management through the development, refinement and implementation of best practices, within ASTAR and through working with other funding agencies.
Support ecosystem-building activities for the funding initiative(s).
Requirements
Possesses a tertiary degree
At least 2 years of working experience in planning, governance and/or grant management roles
Keen interest in work related to governance and grant management, especially in the research & development sector
Strong problem solving, analytical and systems thinking abilities
Resourceful and independent
Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
