Apple's Government Affairs team in India is responsible for helping develop policy and strategy on a range of issues, and manage Apple’s interactions with Indian policy makers, Central and State governments, think tanks, industry associations and other key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis. DESCRIPTION This is a key position that will report to one of the senior vertical heads in the team, and will work closely with a team of outstanding professionals to support the implementation of public policy and advocacy plans and strategies in India. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 4+ years of professional work experience in a hands-on strategic support or policy role, preferably in a global corporation with multi-functional teams, a public policy consulting firm advising global corporations, or a law firm working in a fast paced, high pressure environment. Ability to comprehend and communicate policy and legislative priorities across multiple subjects to diverse stakeholder groups, specifically covering Trade - Tariff and Non-tariff barriers to Trade, Manufacturing processes, Supply Chain, Components ecosystem and Capital Equipment and IP related issues in the Electronics Manufacturing Sector. Experience of selecting, supporting and organizing policy-focused events. Excellent professional presence; Highly motivated self-starter and must enjoy a fast-paced environment. Superior oral and written capabilities, including presentation skills, and strong attention to detail. Anticipate, analyse and translate complex political, legislative, policy and regulatory developments, into meaningful briefs for actionable use. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge and experience of the working of the Government of India, key institutions and regulatory authorities / judiciary. Knowledge of the policy issues relevant to Apple is preferred. Strong relationships or demonstrated ability to build relationships across diverse internal external stakeholder groups, including industry associations, think tanks and external vendors, to drive engagement and initiatives. Demonstrated ability to work with internal cross-functional teams including but not limited to Legal, Trade, Communications, Marketing, Sales, Production and Supply Chain. Experience and willingness to engage, build and drive initiatives at industry associations, including with third parties and external consultants. Evidence of creative problem solving history, ability to work well collaboratively and under pressure. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written capabilities, including drafting and presentation skills. Collaborative and willingness to pitch in when necessary; Capacity to work in international cross-functional teams across multiple time zones. Proven track record of handling crisis effectively. Simultaneous dealings with multiple and demanding stakeholders across time zones.
