We partner closely with the business to enable scale, simplification, and delivery of the enterprise portfolio and technologies that support UniSuper’s strategy.   This is an opportunity to shape how quality is understood and practised across UniSuper, building modern quality engineering capability that enables fast, safe and reliable delivery for our members.   The role The Manager, Quality Engineering shapes and uplifts quality engineering practice across Technology, enabling squads to own quality end‑to‑end. You are a practitioner‑led people leader who defines standards, evolves tooling and builds capability, stepping in where needed and stepping back as teams mature. * Define and maintain quality engineering standards, patterns and tooling across the delivery lifecycle * Establish and own a risk‑based, automation‑first test strategy suitable for a regulated environment * Lead quality tooling, automation frameworks and CI/CD quality gates across the portfolio * Enable and coach squads through quality uplift, health checks and practice communities * Lead, mentor and develop a small team of Quality Engineers embedded across squads * Contribute to release readiness, incident reviews and governance by providing clear quality signals About you You bring deep hands‑on quality engineering experience, combined with a coaching leadership style and a strong systems view of quality. You are comfortable setting direction, influencing without authority and holding a high quality bar without becoming a blocker. * Hands‑on background as a quality or software engineer with strong automation experience * Proven experience embedding quality practices into cross‑functional agile squads * Demonstrated success building and scaling test automation, CI/CD integration and sustainable frameworks * Experience in complex, regulated environments and modern engineering delivery models * Strong communicator able to articulate quality trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders * Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience What We Offer UniSuper believes that the best way to achieve great things is when we come together and collaborate.
