Description

SUMMARY

Responsible for managing the Quality Department and all quality related functions required to accomplish department objectives and company goals. Formulates and maintains quality control vision and coordinates objectives with procedures in cooperation with other management team members to maximize product conformance, safety, and integrity. Works directly with customers to define requirements and solve quality issues while maintaining excellent relationships. Leadership is a key strength. Position requires a blend of both strategic and tactical approaches to quality.

  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure that the plant operations compliant with all quality standards and policies.
  • Develop, implement, and support systems and procedures to monitor and manage key outside suppliers and their quality performance.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure that all products meet product specifications, customer expectations, regulatory requirements and internal standards for product safety and integrity.
  • Oversee all compliance related activities for Nadcap Heat Treat, AS9100, ISO9001, internal quality system procedures and work instructions, and customer quality requirements including:
  • Boeing Commercial Aircraft (D6-87282 and D6-51991)
  • GE Aviation (S-1000)
  • GE Avio (0070Q)
  • Honeywell (SPOC-002)
  • Pratt & Whitney (ASQR-01)
  • Rolls-Royce (SABRe)

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s degree or higher in the Engineering field or Business Management and a minimum of seven years of related experience and 4 years of leadership experience. Experience in the aerospace manufacturing/forging industry and strong working knowledge of Quality systems and specifications is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, technical specifications, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to author routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization, customers, and outside regulatory agencies.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & MRP Systems
