Role: Section Incharge Quality Reporting to: Head Quality Location: Sinnar, Nashik Education Qualification: BE / B.Tech - Metallurgy Experience required 8-10 years in automotive sector as Metallurgist in Automobile Domain Know about various material standards and heat treatment processes. Handling of Metallurgy Laboratory Experience in NPD, In-Process Quality, Various Quality techniques for problem solving People management Technical & Professional Knowledge required Understanding about Gear and Bearing component Metallurgy Know how about various manufacturing processes NPD DFMEA, PFMEA IATF 16949 Key responsibilities attached to the role: Good Knowledge and Experience in Handling Metallurgy Lab,Receipt Inspection Quality and Special Processes (Welding, Heat Treatment Quality and NDT). Understanding about Gear and Bearing Metallurgy. Support to New Product/Process Development. Convergent with CQI9 and CQI 15 requirements. Internal Auditor IATF 16949. Metallurgy Lab Incoming Raw Material Inspection (Steel). Testing / Inspection of In-Process parts (Butt Welding, Normalizing, Induction Hardening) for Set up part clearance. Support service to Engineering for HT process Productionization. Support SCM for sourcing of parts, New Steel Supplier Development and Problem Solving. Co-ordinate with CFT for meeting Production Requirements Warranty, Trouble Shooting and Service Failure related Analysis. In-Process Quality (Special Processes) Validation of Welding, Normalizing and Induction Hardening. Understanding about Heat Treatment Requirements. 7 QC and IATF Core Tools
Responsibilities
The role involves managing the Metallurgy Laboratory, ensuring quality in incoming raw materials, and supporting new product/process development. Responsibilities also include validation of special processes and coordinating with cross-functional teams for production requirements.
