SECTION I: ROLE INTRODUCTION Outlines the basic information of the role. Job Title Manager – Quality Reporting To Senior VP Location Gangaikondan Grade/ Level 1D   Job Objective   Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving the Quality Management System (QMS). The role ensures compliance with applicable standards, customer requirements, and statutory regulations to deliver defect-free products/projects and continuous improvement across operations. Key Responsibilities     Responsibilities KPIs 1) * Implement and maintain ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards. * Ensure compliance with company quality policies, procedures, and work instructions. * Assist in preparing and updating quality manuals, SOPs, and formats. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments.   2) * Monitor incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality compliance. * Ensure adherence to Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Control Plans. * Analyze inspection results and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). * Ensure calibration of measuring and testing equipment. 3) * Plan and conduct internal quality audits and support external audits. * Ensure timely closure of audit observations and non-conformities. * Coordinate with certification bodies, customers, and third-party auditors. * Ensure statutory and customer compliance at all times. 4) * Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and test certificates. * Prepare periodic quality performance reports for management review. * Track quality KPIs, rejection trends, and improvement actions. SECTION VI: ROLE PROFILE REQUIREMENTS   Education * Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering  (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Industrial / Production / Quality Engineering)                                                                OR * Diploma in Engineering with relevant and extensive experience in Quality Management Experience * 10–15 years of overall experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control * Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role Competencies CORE COMPETENCIES LEADERSHIP/ BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES * Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) * Quality Assurance & Quality Control processes * Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) * Audit planning and compliance management * Root Cause Analysis & CAPA * Supplier and vendor quality management * Documentation control & record management * Statistical Quality Tools (7 QC tools, Pareto, SPC – basic) * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Attention to detail and process orientation * Decision-making and accountability * Team leadership and people development * Effective communication and coordination * Conflict management and issue resolution * Customer-focused mindset
