Job Description Job Objective: The BE Recovery Officer's primary objective is to manage and resolve Non-Performing Loan (NPL) accounts that have been transitioned from FE Collection Officer. The main focus will be on effectively handling these accounts to achieve resolution and recovery. This role requires a strategic approach to collections, strong negotiation skills, good litigation knowledge, equipped agency management skillsets and a commitment to achieving timely and effective resolutions. The BE Recovery Officer will work closely with other departments to ensure comprehensive account management and recovery strategies. Responsibilities: Perform collection and recovery activities for assigned portfolios (Unsecured and Secured). Review entire NPL accounts and issue instruction to lawyers to commence legal actions Assess reasons for non-payment and propose solutions. Negotiate repayment and settlement arrangements with borrowers/keyman/guarantor. Propose Reschedule and Restructure (R&R) plans for Non-Performing Loan (NPL) debtors based on financial analytics, business conditions, collateral conditions, and compliance, for authorization according to CDL. Work closely with solicitors to by initiating legal actions. Liaise with auctioneer for auction matters To attend contested case initiated by borrowers Work closely with AKPK on SDRS enrolment and initiate instruction to WLOC for system maintenance upon SDRS program approved Follow up on recovery actions with solicitors and provide feedback. Prepare and submit government guarantee termination memos/action plans (where applicable) with regards to their BE customers Prepare documents for legal processes. To initiate instruction to WLOC for system maintenance upon SDRS program approved Liaise closely with Jabatan Insolvensi Malaysia (JIM) to manage bankrupt/wound up matters (POD, dividend payment arrangement & etc) Manage customer disputes/feedback professionally and timely. Job Requirements: Possess a degree At least 5 years of relevant working experience (Collection related) Possess with managing restructuring and reschedule of loan experience Possess both collection knowledge Possess minimally Unsecured recovery knowledge Possess relevant litigation knowledge in recovery Possess Outsource Collection Agency management experience Good communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated, team player with the ability to work independently under tight timelines High level of accuracy and ability to work under pressure Additional Requirements Be a Part of the UOB Family UOB is an equal opportunity employer.
