· Grow your career with Grant Thornton · Supportive & close-knit team · Auckland OR Wellington CBD office + flexible working arrangements About the role Our Financial Advisory Services team is on the hunt for a problem solver with existing restructuring and insolvency experience to join our team. This role would best suit someone in a Manager or Assistant Manager role who wants to build on their insolvency knowledge and experience and grow their career. You would be joining our close knit Financial Advisory Services team who work nationally from our Auckland, and Wellington offices. This team is very social and enjoys working collaboratively. You will be responsible to assist in the day-to-day delivery of a wide range of Recovery & Reoganisation assignments. Such as: · Undertaking investigative accounting reviews to diagnose issues, understand a company’s financial position and future prospects and advise stakeholders on the options available (this will include the preparation of data books and review/development of financial models) · Planning insolvency engagements including receiverships, voluntary administrations, and liquidations · Executing insolvency appointments involving tasks such as trading businesses, sale of business and asset realisation processes, close down and exit strategies, financial investigations and developing and bringing legal claims · Supervised engagement and correspondence with a range of stakeholders including banks, employees, Inland Revenue Department, creditors, suppliers and shareholders on all aspects of an engagement In addition to the delivery of engagements, you will have the chance to build your brand in the market, developing and strengthening existing relationships with law firms, banks, government organisations, and other key referrers.
