The Authority brings together a deep, multi-disciplinary capability inside the planning department specialists in natural hazards, environment, heritage, water, transport and other disciplines and delivers it to decision makers to help shape development outcomes across NSW. Joining the DCA presents a unique opportunity to help build and embed a new model for delivering technical input into the planning system, working alongside DCA's specialists to provide coordinated expert advice and decisions that shape housing, infrastructure and sustainable communities across the State.   The role  This role leads one of four regional teams that deliver DCA's statutory referral functions integrated development, concurrence and consultation for development applications across NSW. Working alongside DCA's technical experts, the team exercises the Authority's core statutory powers and brings complex advice across many disciplines together into pragmatic, coordinated responses. The role sets direction for the team, owns the final position on complex referrals, and builds relationships with councils as one of DCA's principal customers. It involves the critical engagement that shapes how technical advice lands in planning decisions coordinating complex advice across many domains and delivering responses councils can rely on. What is an essential requirement: * Degree qualification in a related relevant discipline    Eligibility * Eligible employees are required to be at-grade or at an equivalent level; and either ongoing public service employees or fixed term employees who have been comparatively assessed at-grade.
