Discovery House Family Violence Prevention Society provides a continuum of care and integrated wrap-around services to women and their children fleeing domestic violence. The Manager, Research and Evaluation provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the agency’s research, data, and evaluation initiatives. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services to families experiencing domestic violence and that the agency stays abreast of emerging best and promising practices. The Manager works collaboratively with staff, community partners, and stakeholders to develop and implement innovative approaches to domestic violence support and research and program development.
Key responsibilities include supporting program operations, overseeing the Data and Evaluation Specialist, working with and leading other program leads on research, data, and evaluation initiatives, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and accreditation standards, and fostering a positive team environment. The Manager plays a crucial role in program evaluation, quality improvement, and the implementation of best and promising practices in domestic violence services. This position requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed care, housing first principles, and intersectional approaches to service delivery.
The Manager, Research and Evaluation contributes to the agency’s strategic planning efforts, identifies opportunities for program growth and innovation, and ensures that services are culturally appropriate and responsive to the diverse needs of clients, with a particular focus on Indigenous populations. This position participates in an on-call rotation and may work occasional evening/weekend hours.
