RESEARCH OFFICE Manager (25260395) The Research Office (RO) delivers central administrative services across a broad spectrum of research support, including grants and funding schemes, research ethics, integrity and policy, research committees, research culture and infrastructure, and institution-level partnerships and collaborations. We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and service-oriented professional to join our team as Manager. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the University’s research mission by managing a diverse portfolio of research grants, ensuring compliance with funder and institutional requirements, enhancing administrative processes, and fostering a collaborative and high-integrity research environment. Responsibilities: Plan and conduct various research activities, particularly in research grant administration and maintenance; Liaise with funding bodies and internal units on grant applications and management; Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to facilitate and promote HKBU research; Perform committee work, and prepare relevant reports, and papers; Manage and maintain research grant data and prepare relevant statistical reports; Establish and reinforce networks and alliances with major internal and external stakeholders; and Carry out ad hoc tasks as assigned. Requirements: A good bachelor’s degree or above; A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience preferably gained in the higher education sector, experience in handling RGC grants and preparing statistical reports would be an advantage; An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); Good project management and presentation skills, and capable of working independently in a dynamic working environment with self-motivation; A strong sense of responsibility, meticulous, detailed-minded and able to multitask; Good team spirit, high attention to details and ability to deal with complexity. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
