Job Overview The Residential Security Manager of Operations is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-the-ground security operations at a high-end residential property. This role ensures the physical safety of the Family, guests, employees and visitors through the strategic deployment of personnel, protocols, and emergency response systems. The position requires a highly organized leader with a strong background in security, law enforcement, or military operations. This Manager will help create and preserve an environment where employees, visitors, and the property are safe and well-protected. Responsibilities and Duties Plan, coordinate and oversee security operations for a high-end residential property - 50% Supervise, schedule, and train security personnel to ensure 24/7 coverage of all RSA posts. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Security Operations Center, Gate and Rover posts, access control, visitor screening, and incident response. Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed. Oversee and manage response to incidents, alarms, or emergencies, including reporting and documentation. Monitor performance and adherence to post orders, company policies, and client expectations. Direct and manage daily security operations across the residential property. Ensure all security posts are manned appropriately, including seasonal security posts during visits. Provide security presence for off-site and special events as needed. Arrange appropriate security staffing of special events both on and off property. Manage the site schedule and all day-to-day residential and field operations. Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms. Conduct random checks at security posts. Provide special escorts when needed. Prepare reports for LSS Management as requested. Ensure policies are adhered to and document any violations. Provide regular operational briefings and updates to senior management or clients. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and security regulations and standards. Provide property tours and familiarization for visiting security staff as well as needed. Investigate and resolve security issues on property - 15% Conduct table top and practical exercises with security staff. Identify and recommend training needs. Assist with providing security overview and on-boarding for all new Security and staff. Assist with coordinating required training for security personnel such as CPR, First Aid and AED certifications. Provide security related briefings to all staff Analyze, evaluate and test security operations and systems to identify risks or opportunities for improvement - 5% Collaborate with team members and design responsible security solutions that fit unique requirements. Assists in the development and implementation of emergency procedures. Implement emergency action plans responding to security breaches, natural disasters, power outages, and medical emergencies. Conduct Security Risk Assessment and Threat Analysis at the property. Foster relationships within and on behalf of LSS - 5% Maintain relationships with local emergency service providers. Organize and participate in emergency drills with first responders. Provide emergency assistance to first responders needing beach access fronting the property. Assist visiting security agencies with their operational needs and provide assistance as needed. Security Policy Development - 5% Identify areas needing written policy and make recommendations to implement. Provide input in the Development of policies and procedures related to security and safety on the property, audit and make recommendations for improving policies and procedures related to health, safety and security operations. Assist with updating the property Emergency Action Plan as needed. Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology) - 5% Identify areas where technological systems/devices can enhance security operations. Review of all new proposed technologies on property and provide insight as to the practicality on property. New Construction - 4% Participate in meetings related to all new construction on the property. Assist with creating security requirements for all new buildings, in coordination with other LSS Team members. Review new construction plans and make recommendations on security systems. Identify areas where other security technologies may be beneficial and advice supervisor of recommendations, Physical evaluations of building sites to identify trouble areas where traditional security measures may or may not be applicable. Help prepare budgets for security operations and monitor expenses - 3% Identify operational budgetary needs for the property. Assist executive staff with determining operational needs. Obtain estimates for operational needs and provide them to the supervisor. Provide current and future manpower staffing requirements for budgetary review. Ensure daily operating supplies are maintained. Mail Room Supervision - 3% Develop and maintain current policies and procedures for Mail Room operations. Ensure the Mail Room is properly staffed and equipped. Ensure Mail room personnel receive adequate training. Conduct random checks and tests of Mail room operations to ensure compliance with SOP’s. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university or related experience preferred such as a minimum of 3 years or more as a Law Enforcement Administrator. 5+ years of physical security experience. Former law enforcement experience preferred. Proven experience as a security manager or similar position. Experience using relevant technology and equipment (CCTV, alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, S2 access systems, etc.). Experience in reporting and emergency response planning. Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures. Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis. Working knowledge of MS office + G Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience managing budgets, contracts and procurement.
