The Manager in this role is responsible for managing the daily operations of a site-specific Cardiopulmonary Services department. This role ensures the effective delivery of cardiopulmonary care by overseeing staff, coordinating patient services, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting overall clinical and operational goals.
A caregiver in this position works days +on-call shifts, from 7:00am—4:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Work on multidisciplinary projects supporting cardiology services
  • Manage operational aspects of the department of 30 plus FTE’s.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of supervisory and educational personnel.
  • Research and evaluate new technological developments and advances in clinical practice and promotes cost-effective policies and procedures while assuring optimal delivery of services.
  • Develop operating and capital budgets and action plans that address financial/productivity variances.
  • Assist with the development of departmental planning to include policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Organize and participate in quality, engagement (employee satisfaction), patient, physician and other customer satisfaction processes.
  • Develop action plans to improve metrics associated with the noted processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, an allied health field or a related field
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Licensed by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board
  • 5 years of experience to include critical care, medical/surgical, emergency department, cardiology and neurology management/operational experience (Additional experience may be substituted for educational requirement)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.
  • May require sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
