Location: Secaucus, New Jersey Job Summary: The Children’s Place is seeking a Manager, Retail Finance to support the financial performance of our store fleet and retail operations. This role will drive planning, analysis, and reporting that informs key business decisions across sales, payroll, and operating expenses. The Manager will partner closely with regional and field leadership to deliver actionable insights that improve profitability, optimize labor allocation, and support store execution. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic retail organization in an impactful role, with regular interaction across Finance, Store Operations, and Senior Leadership. Successful candidates will bring strong analytical skills, retail P&L knowledge, and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business recommendations. Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Partner with Store Operations and Regional Directors to deliver store-level financial insights, including sales, payroll, and controllable expense performance. Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the retail channel, ensuring alignment between financial targets and operational execution. Analyze store and region performance trends, identifying risks, opportunities, and action plans to improve profitability. Track and report on key retail KPIs (sales per labor hour, conversion, AUR, traffic, shrink, etc.), ensuring visibility for senior leadership. Provide decision support on payroll allocation, scheduling strategies, and expense management initiatives. Develop reporting packages for weekly, monthly, and quarterly retail performance reviews. Collaborate with Planning, Merchandising, and Inventory teams to understand sales drivers and their impact on store profitability. Drive process improvements and streamline financial analysis tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Train, mentor, and oversee financial analyst supporting retail FP&A activities. Maintain and enhance financial forecasting, budgeting, and operational models. Liaise with various divisions to create budgets and forecasts which meet established goals. Analyze actuals, forecasts, and budgets, and prepare analyses for finance executives and upper management Generate reporting and presentations for executive staff meetings and Board presentations Streamline financial planning and analysis processes Education and Experience: Ideal candidate will have a BS in Finance, MBA degree a plus but not required 5-7 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or related fields Strong understanding of retail P&L metrics, payroll management, and store-level performance drivers. Extensive financial modeling and forecasting experience Skills & Behaviors: Ability to work independently and within a team, strong team player Must possess exceptional analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle Hyperion Planning Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, well organized; able to multitask and manage multiple deadlines Professional and polished presence Ability to partner cross-functionally and influence store and regional leadership.
