POSITION SUMMARY:

As part of the growing Revenue Growth Management (RGM) function, the Manager, RGM & Pricing Strategy will play a key role in building the foundation and digital advancement for RGM initiatives across Canada. The candidate will focus on implementing tools that drive profitable growth through pricing and promotion, and trade optimization strategies. The role will be responsible for implementing RGM capabilities with a focus on Trade Promotion Management (TPM) and Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO).
The candidate will also work on strategic problem-solving and building promotional optimization processes with the cross-functional team. The individual will partner closely with the RGM team, Finance, Sales, and the Business Technology team to ensure smarter promotional planning, maximizing ROI on all off-invoice investments, and eliminating unproductive trade spend. The role will be reporting to the Senior Director of Channel Strategy and RGM, and will have one direct report, Manager of Commercial Optimization & Systems. The role is a hybrid role, with 3 days onsite per week.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • University degree
  • 5 to 7 years of successful experience in a CPG environment, with a focus on Revenue Growth Management and/or Pricing/Promo Optimization responsibilities within a Commercial team
  • Strong understanding of revenue management fundamentals in the Canadian market with regional expertise linking it all back to consumers
  • Experience in implementing systems would be an asset
  • Ability to communicate with senior management and cross-functionals with data in a clear and concise fashion
  • Action-oriented bias, with a keen focus on delivering results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive, curious, creative, and innovative thinker with the ability to energize and influenc

Responsibilities

Digital Advancement

  • Lead implementation of TPM/TPO tools (o9) and improve process, embedding best practices across Sales
  • Project management for O9 Implementation from blueprinting to execution and change management with cross-functionals
  • Support the design, build, and optimization of RGM dashboards, tools, and capabilities to improve decision-making.
  • Contribute to the overall growth and evolution of the RGM function in Canada by identifying capability gaps and supporting new process development

Promotional Execution

  • Develop and execute with the Sales team pricing strategies that balance competitiveness, profitability, supply capabilities, and brand equity.
  • Partner with Sales team to elevate promotions based on ROI, incrementality and alignment to customer strategies providing quick insights factoring in multiple sources of KPI metrics
  • Drive post-event analysis by retailer and drive efficient off invoice investment with finance team to inform future promotional strategy and trade investment decisions.
  • Lead and educate cross-functional change management, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to embed promotional planning into core business processes.

Analytics & Insights

  • Leverage syndicated data and internal financials to identify growth opportunities and build tools to automate quick actional insights with recommendations
  • Provide performance dashboards and actionable insights to senior leadership on pricing/promotional initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the strategic RGM business partner to Sales, providing insights that shape customer promotional strategies
  • Collaborate with Finance to measure and report ROI of pricing and promo strategies
  • Partner with the RGM team to ensure pricing and promotional tactics align with pricing guidelines and Channel Strategy
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to direct report, the Manager of Commercial Optimization & Systems, while working closely together on the implementation of o9.

Strategic RGM

  • Lead and tackle ambiguous, high-priority problems sourced directly from the executive team, delivering actionable insights and solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support company-wide pricing initiatives as needed, collaborating across departments to ensure pricing strategies are aligned, data-informed, and responsive to market dynamics.
