You’ll take day‑to‑day ownership of delivering the Group Risk AI strategy, lead a small specialist team, and work closely with senior leaders to move ideas into action. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) or Meanjin (Brisbane). What You’ll Do Support and drive delivery of the Group Risk AI strategy, translating priorities into a clear and achievable roadmap. Own the Group Risk AI pipeline, managing use‑cases from intake to prioritisation, delivery and ongoing oversight. Partner with Risk, Technology and Operations to design and embed AI solutions that improve judgement and insight. Ensure AI solutions are designed and deployed safely, aligned to Group AI, data, security and risk governance. Lead and develop a small team of AI specialists, balancing hands‑on delivery with strong people leadership. Lift AI capability across Group Risk through coaching, practical examples and reusable patterns. Provide clear reporting to senior forums on progress, benefits, risks and emerging themes. What You’ll Bring Proven experience leading specialist teams and delivering outcomes in complex, pressured environments. Hands‑on experience applying AI or advanced analytics to real business or risk problems. Strong understanding of risk management concepts and governance, ideally within IAG or similar environments. Ability to translate strategy into practical plans and make sound prioritisation trade‑offs. Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and operating with delegated authority. Pragmatic mindset, curiosity and comfort working through ambiguity. Tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Information Technology, Data, Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Studies or a related discipline.
