The Global Risk & Compliance Organization (“GRC”) independently oversees the company’s risk-taking and risk management activities, including the comprehensive identification, management, and mitigation of risks within the Company’s risk appetite. The Financial Risk Management within Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for identifying and managing Credit Risk, Model Risk, Market & Liquidity Risk, External Fraud risk and Financial Crimes Decision Science & Analytics CoE, across all business units, functions, processes and geographies at American Express. We are seeking a Manager, Portfolio Analytics, to join our Financial Risk Management (FRM) function within GRC. The role requires close collaboration with several key partners including CCO teams across US & International markets, Fraud Risk team, Finance, Treasury and Capabilities teams to evolve globally consistent and scalable analytics & MIS. Key responsibilities: Monitor key Liquidity, market and External Fraud risk portfolio metrics and ensure that the analytics yields impactful actionable insights and provides early reads on emerging trends Create and Manage Risk MIS, dashboards, execute report and regulatory reporting. Responsible for ideating and developing MIS and monitoring capabilities Create Early Warning Indicators leveraging Macro-trends, alternate data, customer insights Identifying different risks, delivering and calling out key findings, and advising on recommended solutions to mitigate these risks. Required Qualifications: Strong analytical skills and a rigorous, data-driven approach to problem-solving Intellectual curiosity, learning agility, and keen attention to detail Proven ability to collaborate effectively and drive large-scale cross-functional initiatives Effective communication skills – clear, structured, and articulate High energy, a can-do attitude and a demonstrated team-first mentality Strategic thought leadership with a focus on process innovation An advanced degree in statistics, econometrics, data science, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative field of study Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
