Join our Credit Risk Team in Japan, where we design and deliver forward-thinking credit risk strategies that fuel business growth and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. This position includes managing credit risk strategies in 1) commercial limits (limit control of commercial products), 2) Data strategies (external data vendors such as credit bureaus) for Japan market, 3) Card Lending products (Revolve and Installment), 4) corporate card portfolio, and managing,– a large, fast growing, and highly visible portfolio that offers consumer and commercial payment and lending solutions. The incumbent will be responsible for the following: Collaborate on the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of novel risk strategies and initiatives for Japan Closely monitor key credit performance metrics, and the implications on trends, diagnosing problems and identifying opportunities. Support product, and marketing partners on optimizing profit by balancing growth and credit risk. Develop strong relationships with colleagues from the Central Risk Management organization, as well as Operations, Product , Marketing, and external partners to drive enterprise wise success for the market, developing a holistic understanding of the enterprise. Focus on continuous improvement of credit risk management capabilities. Optimize integration and usage of capabilities and data such as consumer and commercial credit bureaus, financial statements, and bank data. Continually explore and test new data sources to improve models and strategies. Have a deep understanding of evolving regulatory environment with direct and indirect impact on the portfolio and risk management. Qualifications Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills and strong project management and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment. Solid critical thinking and analysis in technical scenarios, attention to detail and able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate creative and innovative solutions to complex problems. Self-starter, ability to work independently and prioritize in real-time. 3+ years experience in analytics alongside experience in credit risk management or in payment solution industry will be valuable Hands-on experience working with large datasets, and familiarity with Python, R, SAS, SQL, or similar programming languages Business level of proficiency in both Japanese and English.
