Job Description Summary The manager, RWE research analytics provides scientific leadership and people management for a team of Research Analysts responsible for the design, execution, and interpretation of observational studies and RWE projects. This role balances team leadership responsibilities with hands-on individual contributor work on complex or high-priority studies, ensuring scientific excellence across the portfolio while developing team capabilities. The manager serves as the primary point of accountability for Research Analyst deliverables, partnering closely with Scientific Data Analyst counterparts to ensure seamless collaboration between the scientific and technical tracks Job Description Manager - RWE Research Analytics Location – Hyderabad # LI Hybrid Major Responsibilities: People Leadership & Team Development (40-50%) Lead, coach, and develop a team of Research Analysts, setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback on performance and growth Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, and career development conversations; support team members’ professional growth within the Research Analyst career ladder Manage workload allocation across the team, matching study complexity to analyst experience levels and development goals Foster a collaborative team culture that emphasizes scientific rigor, continuous learning, and effective partnership with Scientific Data Analysts Support hiring and onboarding of new Research Analysts; ensure consistent application of scientific standards across the team Identify skill gaps and coordinate training or mentorship to build team capabilities in RWE methodologies, study design, and scientific communication Scientific Oversight & Quality Assurance (25-30%) Provide scientific oversight and quality review for Research Analyst deliverables including protocols, SOPs, study reports, and stakeholder communications Ensure studies are designed with methodological rigor, appropriate for the research question, and aligned with regulatory and organizational standards Serve as escalation point for complex methodological questions or scientific challenges; provide guidance on study design decisions Review and approve codelists specifications and variable definitions before handoff to Scientific Data Analysts Champion scientific quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement of team processes and templates Individual Contributor Work (20-30%) Serve as lead Research Analyst on select high complexity or strategically important studies, maintaining hands on scientific expertise Author protocols, SOPs, and study reports for assigned projects; present findings to stakeholders and cross-functional partners Conduct feasibility assessments and provide scientific input on new study requests Contribute to scientific publications, conference presentations, and thought leadership activities Cross-functional Collaboration &Stakeholder Management (10-15%) Partner with Scientific Data analytics Manager/Team Leader to ensure effective collaboration between scientific and technical tracks; jointly resolve resource conflicts or workflow issues Serve as key liaison between the Research Analytics team and medical affairs stakeholders including the US RWE team Participate in portfolio planning discussions, providing input on study prioritization, resource requirements, and timeline feasibility Represent the Research Analytics function in cross-functional governance meetings and evidence generation planning Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in a field such as epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, economics or equivalent and 6+ years conducting research in the pharma industry, contract research organization, or academic institute; or experience in a closely related discipline within the pharma industry (e.g., clinical research, statistics, epidemiology, pricing). Or Master’s degree in a field such as epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, economics or similar. And 4+ years of experience conducting research in the pharma industry, contract research organization, or academic institute; or experience in a closely related discipline within the pharma industry. Or PhD in a field such as epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, economics or similar. And 2+ years of experience conducting research in the pharma industry, contract research organization, or academic institute; or experience in a closely related discipline within the pharma industry.
