Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager - Safety, Health & Environment to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety, health, and environmental programs across our organization, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international best practices. Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety, health, and environmental programs, systems, and procedures Monitor and prevent workplace hazards and occupational diseases through regular risk assessments and inspections Investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace, recommending and implementing corrective actions Provide expert guidance on UAE labor laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards to ensure organizational compliance Develop and conduct employee training programs on safety protocols, emergency preparedness, and environmental awareness Analyze complex environmental, health, and safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement Collaborate with various departments to integrate safety and environmental considerations into operational processes and project planning Prepare comprehensive reports on safety and environmental performance for senior management and regulatory bodies Lead and mentor a team of ES&H specialists, fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in safety, health, and environmental management, implementing innovative solutions where appropriate Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field; Master's degree preferred Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Minimum of 8 years of experience in safety, health, and environmental management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Expert knowledge of UAE labor laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards Proven track record in developing and implementing comprehensive safety and health programs Advanced skills in data analysis, risk assessment, and problem-solving Strong understanding of safety management systems and environmental principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train employees and present to senior management Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and mentoring ES&H specialists Proficiency in using safety management software and data analysis tools Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing regulatory landscapes Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
