ABOUT YOU:

• A Bachelor of Law, a current Practising Certificate and at least 5 years PAE
• Extensive experience in South Australian workers compensation and dispute management
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Deep understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Manager Scheme Legal will oversee the management of significant legal cases with Scheme-wide impact, provide expert legal advice on complex legislative matters, and manage the Scheme Legal Team, which is a small, high-performing legal team that sits within Legal Services. This role is central to maintaining the Scheme’s legal boundaries and ensuring its long-term viability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and report on significant legal cases.
• Provide legal advice on legal risks, trends, and legislative interpretation.
• Manage the Scheme Legal team.
• Assist in maintaining relationships with key legal and regulatory bodies.
• Contribute to legislative updates and regulatory compliance.

THIS ROLE WILL BE A FIXED-TERM CONTRACT FOR 3 YEARS.
