Manage the daily operations of a team of professionals in the Corporate Security Department. Resolve operational issues, develop personnel, promote company and departmental values, while insuring individual and team goals are met or exceeded. Provide support for all aspects of the Corporate Security function, to include: Non-Product Facility Security, Executive/Event Security, Investigations, and International Security Key Responsibilities: 30% Supervision of Non-Product Facility Security. 30% Supervision of assigned Home Depot Security Staff. 15% Support of Executive and Event Security. 15% Support of the Investigations Team. 10% Support of International Security Program. Direct Manager/Direct Reports: This position reports to Sr. Manager or Director Corporate Security. This position has 2 direct reports. Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time. Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Working Conditions: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Previous supervisory experience. Previous Security or Law Enforcement experience. Preferred Qualifications: EMT or First Responder certification. Executive Protection experience. Minimum Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED. Be able to identify, distinguish and analyze multiple components of a problem, and then make appropriate conclusions based on available information. Use tactical thinking to support strategic goals of the department, determine the problem and understand the fundamental parts of the problem. Knowledge of the role and function of Corporate Security at the Home Depot or similar major company or prior law enforcement agency. Knowledge of facility management as it pertains to security and access control. Must be able to communicate both verbally and written. Must possess skills to effectively interact with and communicate with Home Depot associates. Must possess analytical skills. Must have a knowledge of physical security. Project management experience to include major events such as shareholder meetings, board of director's meetings or similar events. Must possess supervisory skills.
