Our multi-disciplinary Sustainability practice assists clients in evaluating and identifying opportunities & mitigating risks associated with an organisation’s ESG / Sustainability footprint, as well as building responsible business strategies and practices across the whole value chain. Our services focus on improving confidence in an organisation’s purpose, leadership and actions for sustainable value creation. Our services also help organisations improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their sustainability-related processes and controls, including in relation to suppliers and business partners, and seize opportunities around sustainability that result in improved business performance. Our ESG Assurance team is a dedicated team of professionals within the Audit & Assurance department with deep sustainability reporting skills and in-depth industry knowledge.

YOUR SKILLS

Your professional experience can come from different previous positions. Ideally, you have a min. of 8 years’ in-house corporate or financial sector or professional services experience within Sustainability & ESG.

  • A strong interest in ESG & Sustainability trends globally and locally
  • Experience in projects in the field of: sustainability reporting, verification of non-financial data as a part of company activities (as ESG specialist / Investor Relation department, controlling, financial reporting etc.) or as an external consultant
  • Knowledge of the current reporting regulations (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) is a must, EU Taxonomy knowledge and Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) knowledge will be an asset
  • Experience in running workshops and facilitating trainings
  • Ability to cooperate in a team, in projects for private and public clients, also in an international context.
  • Experience embedding sustainability across different parts of a corporate value chain and pursuing business opportunities within the broad sustainability agenda
  • Good knowledge of global sustainability initiatives and frameworks, including the CSRD, ESRS, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the UN Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), The Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) and the EU Sustainable Finance package.
  • Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver effectively with what can often be ambiguous requirements
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and a proven ability to transform analysis into practical solutions
  • Proven planning and project management skills in complex projects
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • A self-starter approach, keen to learn and build expertise
  • A high aptitude for identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Fluency in French and English; any other languages are considered as an asset
Responsibilities
  • Providing ESG assurance services to prestigious clients in different industries;
  • Conducting and/or participating in projects regarding sustainability reporting and double materiality processes for companies operating in different industries;
  • Delivering high quality services by demonstrating a practical awareness of the impact of regulation and risk management on business processes and controls;
  • Coordinating with teams on-site including planning, day to day control, contact with key client staff, respecting deadlines for assignments;
  • Building strong relationships while being the main contact with key client staff;
  • Working and liaising with other members of the audit team and colleagues in other parts of the firm as necessary to provide high quality client service;
  • Coaching and inspiring junior members of your team;
  • Identify problem areas and risks and come up with concrete recommendations;
  • Managing ongoing projects, including customer relationships;
  • Supporting sales, educational and business development activities;
  • Analysis of activities in the field of ESG and design of strategic activities/flagship programs in the field of responsible business and sustainable development;
  • Assisting clients in building responsible and sustainable strategies and governance;
  • Advising clients on strategies for monitoring and managing ESG and Sustainability-related risks and seizing opportunities across their entire value chain;
  • Assisting clients in implementing best practice procedures in own operations and across the value chain, from suppliers and third parties to customers and end users;
