Salary Band: 6 ($64,000 - $96,000 CAD)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in fundraising, business, communications, or related field
  • Demonstrated success in delivering Signature Programs, or other community giving fundraising events of similar nature
  • Experience working with youth; working with youth volunteers or within the educational system is an asset
  • Proven ability to drive fundraising events and individual fundraising team members to meet revenue goals in excess of $500,000
  • Proven ability to secure, retain and grow new business or accounts year over year
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including teambuilding, presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to coach, mentor and inspire team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to develop, cultivate and steward partnerships and relationships, and leverage those relationships as appropriate
  • Proven ability to set and accomplish goals and objectives, establish priorities with minimal direction.
  • Proven relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solution focused leadership style.
  • Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to develop work plans and adhere to deadlines

Responsibilities

CONTRIBUTES TO RFLY STRATEGIES AND ACTIVITIES FOR CCS AND IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING ASSIGNED RFLY REVENUE AND EXPENSE TARGETS

  • In conjunction with the Director, is responsible for the development, effective implementation and execution of the programmatic strategies and achieving assigned revenue and expense targets in excess of $3.5M
  • Develops and delivers national and regional training tools to support the successful delivery of the program in multiple project streams including participant engagement, leadership development, stewardship and social media
  • In conjunction with the Director, oversees the development and execution of 5-10 day-long training conferences for 50 – 500 students at a time, preparing 225+ schools to deliver successful RFLY events on an annual basis
  • Delivers communications, ensuring clear and consistent messaging between cross-functional teams, educational partners, students, and the RFLY team
  • Actively engages in and builds relationships with RFLY key stakeholders, including teachers, school administration and boards of education
  • Develops strategies to mitigate job action in the school system, delivering customized and diplomatic solutions that maintain school and teacher engagement across multiple provinces, boards and individual schools in the midst of contract negotiations and strike action
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of acquisition strategies to feed the pipeline for new RFLY events
  • Maintains knowledge of social media trends and youth related engagement tools, ensuring RFLY remains relevant to the target audience
  • Assists in tracking and analysing indicators of progress for RFLY; collaboratively addresses issues and recommends solutions as required by the Director.
  • Collaborates with RFLY team in overcoming obstacles to fundraising success and provides solutions to mitigate risk areas.
  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional partners including Corporate Partnerships, Information Management, Logistics, Digital, Marketing and Communications to manage and execute program related tactics
  • Supports in-depth post-event analysis and reports to evaluate the overall success of RFLY strategies and tactics. Makes recommendations on short and long-term strategies for new opportunities to increase revenue, enhance the school and student experiences and deepen their connections with CCS
  • Follows and implements all guidelines established by national leadership including, Marketing, Communications, Digital Support, Team People, IT and others
  • Maintains the integrity of the CRM (SalesForce) by complying with policies and procedures for data collection and entry systems.
