Description:

SPECIFICALLY, YOU WILL:

  • Responsible for providing planning input, execution and maintenance of social media properties (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube).
  • Liaises and meets regularly with Integrated Marketing team to co-ordinate promotions and messaging to be conveyed through Staples’ Organic Social Media platforms. This includes writing and proofreading all content.
  • Responsible for growing community and followership and driving engagement on Staples Canada’s organic social channels.
  • Lead partnership initiatives with Influences/Content Creators to drive impressions and engagement to impact followership and reach.
  • Develop strategies to encourage internal workforce to like, share and engage with social media content.
  • Provide regular measurement and reporting on all related Social Media metrics with recommendations, as required.Leads and manages inbound customer inquiries and commentary and provide direct response or ensures inquiry is forwarded to the appropriate internal channels and contacts with the utmost urgency. Follows up to ensure issues/questions are resolved promptly (both internally with departments and externally with customers).

Responsibilities:

The Manager, Social Media will take the lead on all Organic Social Media projects and ensure that the platforms are included as part of the overall external communications strategies, including but not limited to, community initiatives, Influencer Relations, product launches, partnership opportunities and contests. This role is responsible for providing measurement by week, month, project or campaign. Strong goal orientation is a requirement, as achievement against growth metrics are fundamental to the role. The Social Media Manager is responsible for the development and execution of Organic social media and Influencer/Content Creator strategies through planning, project-management, and measurement/reporting. This role is required to write, engage, update and respond to external clients engaging with Staples through our Social Media platforms, which include Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn and YouTube. The person in the role must have a strong understanding of how to use content marketing to grow social platforms and organic search.
