KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deliver under the social media strategy in line with the company’s communication strategy and business objectives, and accordingly recommend best plans, platforms and approaches for campaigns
  • Proofread, review and approve all written and visual content before sharing for final approval based on brand guidelines and tonality.
  • Manage end-to-end campaigns for assigned segments or any special project in terms of budgeting, strategy, implementation on social platforms, consistent communication, timely launches and successful delivery to support all relevant segments.
  • Work alongside the social media agency on du’s social media strategy, guidelines and footprint.
  • Initiate post-event debriefing & reports to ensure all related stakeholders are aware of the post analysis, including learning & improvement points.
  • Proactively monitor and track performance of our overall social media presence and implement plans for assigned internal clients in order to improve the outcome of designed communications as well as evaluate re-communication of campaigns as needed to actively support Marketing & Sales in achievement of KPIs to support increased product sales and service usage.
  • Manage main operational tasks such as PRs, RFPs, following up on payments and ongoing updates.
  • Accountable for the social media agency; from initial tender & RFP through to delivery against SLAs and ensuring that we receive maximum value, whilst developing a win/win partnership.
  • Actively develop, manage and maintain a healthy and strategic working relationship with internal and external partners as well as agencies in order to ensure that these extended teams are regularly kept updated and are engaged and driven to support the achievement of the communications strategy within du brand values and guidelines.
  • Proactively work cross-functionally with peers/colleagues in order to support training, establish and/or share best practices as well as work together collaboratively on developing/driving shared opportunities.
  • Proactively create and maintain the overall social media calendar to support the business in delivering its objectives.
  • Creation of agile conversations, content and activations to build loyalty with our brand’s friends and community.
  • Develop and agree with own line manager on plans to continually build own skills and knowledge by anticipating demands and understanding own strengths and weaknesses.
  • Keep up to date on the latest social media trends, and share within the department to develop a culture of continuous learning & improvement.
  • Actively identify gaps and develop resolutions to propose improvements to processes by working with internal clients (marketing, etc.) and external partners (agencies…etc.) in order to improve working relationships, eliminate bureaucracy and maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to the procurement PR/PO processes, including timely submission and tracking of approvals.
  • Crisis management & risk management within the social spectrum.
  • Develop, maintain and ensure adherence to clear policies and guidelines within the field of social media, to ensure replicable consistent excellence in the delivery of communication.Drive and set direction for creative agencies to develop new creative vehicles for social and align with our creative and media agencies when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum Bachelors in in Mass Communications or related field
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of work experience with at least 5 years in a managerial/ project manager role
  • Good understanding of business objectives, efficient communication and very high organization and project management skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Confidence and ability to inspire management at all levels throughout the company
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written in both Arabic and English
  • Strong organizational ability and project management skills – certification in project management is preferred
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to analyze and prepare post analysis reports linked to KPI’s
  • Thorough knowledge of UAE culture and protocols
  • Good Leadership skills and ability to lead a team of resources to achieve the common goal (internal and external resources)
  • Achievement oriented
