What You’ll Do

  • Determine the technical direction and strategy of the software development team in alignment with corporate goals and vision and ensure successful execution.
  • Collaborate with executive-level management and development team to define product vision and roadmap.
  • Manage multiple software products/projects and effectively allocate resources (people, budget, technology, etc.).
  • Head product design reviews and provide strategic guidance to development management and staff.
  • Lead large technical initiatives to refactor, reuse, redesign, or upgrade current product designs to meet regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ascertain time, budget, resource, and effort estimates for new product functionalities.
  • Minimize technical debt and ensure the product base is healthy and current.
  • Administer customer support activities and provide technical leadership to development teams as required.
  • Contribute to a great work environment by providing exemplary leadership and mentoring emerging leaders and managers.
  • Stay informed of new technical and technological developments and implement them wherever relevant.
  • Participate in hiring, coaching, and mentoring recruits.

Experience You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, software development, and product development
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in software development
  • Adept in programming languages and have the good technical know-how
  • Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies and practices
  • Experience in leading and managing multiple teams
  • Ability to define and lead the execution of the technical direction of the team
  • Ability to coach managers and groom them for higher leadership roles
  • Ability to influence decisions across the organization
  • Aspiration to explore the latest top-notch software practices and tools and introduce them to the team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize.
