Starting base salary £60,000 - £70,000

The Manager, Software Engineering oversees a team of developers in designing, creating, and implementing platforms for both 360 as a company and for our clients. Using their expertise in processing languages, the Manager, Software Engineering takes the needs and requirements outlined by our clients to produce reliable and innovative software.

Responsibilities
  • Hands on development alongside other responsibilities
  • Favour influence over mandate.
  • Always push for continuous improvement.
  • Makes others better through code reviews, documentation, technical guidance, and mentoring.
  • Advocate for regular pair programming and test-driven development.
  • Initiate and participate in technical decisions that affect the larger development organization.
  • Estimate break down and sequence large pieces of work for iterative delivery.
  • Key Contributor to software architecture design, refactoring, solutioning and on-going code improvements.
  • Engage with platforms teams such as architects and security to drive approval for technical solution design.
  • Actively participate in building a high-performing development team, including developing unit tests, participating in code reviews, mentoring junior developers.
  • Guide/mentor and manage 1-2 teams comprised of technical leads, developers and QA staff – both technically and professional growth
  • Work with Development, Product Management and QA teams to identify requirements, design new features, estimate development efforts and deliver on product roadmap.
  • Work with the Operations team to deploy and support production systems.

What you’ll bring to this role:

  • Experienced leader with building, coaching, and empowering their team members
  • Experience with writing and deploying full stack production quality code required
  • A solid foundation in C#.net, Angular, React, JavaScript, SQL Server, Microservices, MVC, Event Driven Design
  • Experience managing all aspects of software development teams
  • Proven experience with best practices in development, optimization, test automation, CICD, and observability.
  • Experience with AWS cloud native services, APIs and distributed systems.
