Overview of the Manager, Engineering BETA is a self-clearing securities processing solution for wealth management firms. Built on years of expert knowledge and hands-on experience, BETA provides critical back-office controls including corporate action management, middle office exception management, and front office account management and trading tools for advisors. We are seeking an Engineering Manager for the Data Delivery team who will own the delivery of production-grade, cloud-hosted data-as-a-service platforms built on Snowflake. This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, people management, and delivery ownership, with the ability to guide architecture decisions while enabling teams to execute at scale. Reporting to the Group Manager, Technology Development, this role has the ownership on developing product(s) within the Data Delivery team. The role will be involved with developing customer facing cloud hosted data as service products. This role necessitates meetings and require heavy collaboration within and across many teams. Our business model is hybrid, working from our Bangalore campus. Duties and Responsibilities of the Manager, Engineering * Own end-to-end delivery for Data Delivery initiatives across multiple projects. * Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and technical excellence. * Drive data platform architecture covering ingestion, warehousing, transformation, and consumption. * Provide technical direction and architectural governance across Snowflake-based solutions. * Stay hands-on as needed to unblock teams, review designs, and evaluate complex technical decisions. * Ensure engineering best practices across data modeling, ETL/Reverse ETL, security, quality, and performance. * Partner closely with product, architecture, and platform teams to align delivery with business outcomes. * Act as a point of escalation for delivery, quality, and availability of data services in production. Skills and Experience of the Manager, Engineering * 6+ years of experience in data or software engineering, including engineering leadership roles. * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. * Proven experience managing and scaling high-performing engineering teams. * Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and cloud-native architecture. * Hands-on exposure to Snowflake and modern data tooling (e.g., Kafka, Airflow, Kinesis, DBT). * Experience leading teams through Agile delivery and SDLC best practices. * Ability to balance technical depth with people leadership and stakeholder management. * Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies. * Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform). * Working knowledge of Python and scripting languages. * Experience operating data platforms on a scale in AWS.

Responsibilities

Lead the Data Delivery team in owning the production of cloud-hosted data-as-a-service platforms built on Snowflake. Drive data platform architecture and provide technical governance while mentoring a team of data engineers.
