JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join our growing team. In this hybrid role you will lead a talented group of engineers to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software products, while fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and ensure alignment on deliverables.
- Drive technical decisions and best practices, ensuring that the team follows industry standards for coding, testing, and documentation.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring the team meets deadlines and maintains high-quality standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and promoting knowledge sharing.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development for team members.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks or challenges hindering the team.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams.
- Professional experience in software development.
- Proven ability to oversee the design and development of scalable, reliable software applications.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including agile methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A track record of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience of mentoring and coaching engineering talent.
