Provide assurance for efficient and continuous 24x7 spacecraft fleet operations. Lead procurement and project management of new operations products and the operations procurement of new satellites. Responsible for satellite platform Health Data analysis and Operations with specialized knowledge of payload equipment and link budget performance calculation. Convene and chair the Anomaly Review Board (ARB) as required from start until closeout. For Payload units failures or degraded payload performance, perform investigative analysis with the available data to find potential root causes. Ensure all contingency spacecraft operations are conducted in a safe and timely manner. Ensure safety and maximize health of the YSS in-orbit fleet Provide on-call management authority for spacecraft operations. Manage OPEX and CAPEX spend as required Ensure team adherence to monthly and annual KPIs Ensure timely performance and management reporting (including but not limited to routine and on demand health, fleet status and anomaly reports). Manage the support contracts for the YSS in-orbit fleet Lead the procurement of new operational products required for the spacecraft operations department. Support the organization efforts in fleet operations automation initiatives For new projects, ensure that operations system test plan is in place through projects suppliers testing complemented by budgeted and structured in house test plans and procedures covering the entire system spacecraft operations environment. Ensure that such test plans answers Company customers requirements. Qualifications: Engineering Degree 10 years+ demonstrated competency in Spacecraft Operations roles. Experience in supporting the procurement or onboarding of spacecrafts in the Spacecraft Operations Center (for SOC aspects) Technical Requirements The candidate must demonstrate expert-level proficiency in satellite and ground operations, including anomaly management and system troubleshooting. The candidate must have knowledge and experience in Payload units and Link budget calculation. Lead the reporting and failure/issue investigation of system level issues that require multiple disciplines working together (for example, an Interference Management System that requires element from a ground project and from a spacecraft project in order to work) They must be skilled in technical reporting, SLA compliance, and project management. Their strengths must also include team development through coaching and succession planning, as well as leading procurement efforts for operational and future satellite program needs. The Candidate must be capable of data gathering and analysis in the Spacecraft Operations field to reach conclusions and recommendations in anomalies situations.
