This is a meaningful opportunity to lead specialist AOD services, while strengthening partnerships, driving innovation, and supporting integrated care across mental health and AOD systems. Your role, your impact In this senior leadership role, you will lead and strengthen specialist AOD services, ensuring they remain responsive, impactful, and aligned to community needs. Key responsibilities include: Lead and oversee specialist AOD services, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care and strong service user outcomes Drive service development and innovation, identifying opportunities for growth, integration, and continuous improvement Build and maintain strategic partnerships, including with universities, sector stakeholders, and internal teams Support and mentor leaders, providing supervision, coaching, and guidance to team leaders across programs Manage operational performance, including budgets, service delivery, compliance, and risk management Champion integration across AOD and mental health, contributing to evolving models of care and sector reform Strengthen workforce capability, including supporting lived and living experience roles within programs Lead operational planning and governance, including chairing meetings and ensuring alignment with organisational priorities Your leadership will help shape responsive services while supporting a skilled, inclusive, and engaged workforce. Who we’re looking for We’re looking for a collaborative and values-driven leader who brings: Strong experience in leadership roles within the AOD or broader human services sector Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage programs, and drive change Experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and system collaboration Strong risk management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Ability to inspire, influence, and support diverse teams Understanding of person-centred practice and the social model of health Experience managing budgets, performance, and service delivery frameworks Confidence working with data, reporting, and continuous improvement processes Mandatory qualifications: Relevant qualification in AOD, Social Work, Allied Health, or a related professional field Relevant professional registration or membership (where applicable) What will make you stand out Experience leading integrated AOD and mental health services Experience working with lived and living experience workforces Strong understanding of sector reform and emerging trends Established connections across health, education, or community sectors What’s in it for you At Each you’ll be supported to be your best.
