Responsibilities

Strategic Supply Planning and Business Portfolio Strategy

  • Define the crop strategy based on best practices, business segment, and business model for the short and long term.
  • Design the annual application program for each zone in coordination with Driscoll’s and Operations.
  • Consolidate and maintain the official version of the business unit’s 5-year acreage plan.
  • Manage the business unit’s plant supply planning.
  • Lead and facilitate the validation process for new varieties (OFTs) and their commercial incorporation.
  • Plan and forecast the necessary resources to ensure the program’s operational effectiveness and meet the company’s objectives.
  • Analyze supply curves and planting programs in coordination with Driscoll’s and quantify the impact on supply.
  • Facilitate the transfer and adoption of variety and application knowledge among districts within the business unit.

Relationship with Driscoll’s

  • Serve as a liaison between the business unit entities and Driscoll’s to align drivers and financial indicators for the RAC entities.
  • Lead the alignment with Driscoll’s production strategy to meet short- and long-term market demand by defining the application program and acreage by business segment.
  • Manage and facilitate the evaluation of deviations from the application program.
  • Plan and manage trials for the business unit entities in collaboration with Driscoll’s monitoring new varieties and/or applications with grower, partners, and commercial operations.
  • Provide the information required by Driscoll’s to better understand and provide insight into agricultural operations, aligning key indicators and grower priorities.
  • Periodically evaluate the business model. Support Driscoll’s on assessing the impact on growers of potential changes to the current model.
  • Monitor the timely supply of plants according to applications programs.

Investment Evaluations and Operational Analysis

  • Generate investment assessments for business segments and new opportunities in the short, medium, and long term.
  • Analyze and model different supply scenarios to meet pre-established commitments with Driscoll’s and optimize production curves.
  • Manage and lead multi-regional and functional projects that impact the districts’ strategic and supply plans

Supply Forecast

  • Manage and facilitate the supply forecasting process.
  • Document changes in planting programs versus Budget and reflect the impact on projected volume.
  • Ensure the Flow of information between departments for accurate forecast documentation.
  • Identify opportunities and risks of potential Budget deviations.
  • Leverage Driscoll’s and RAC resources and align forecasts, optimizing resources and time allocations and achieving the established deviation target.
