Responsibilities

As our Manager Stewarding, you are the coordinator of all F&B related activities behind the scenes at Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam. Communication and structure are two of your greatest talents. In this position, your main responsibility is our stewarding department. This includes three dishwashing kitchens, the ambassador restaurant, as well as the hotel’s waste processing.
In managing the Stewarding team, you will deal with different responsibilities, such as ensuring proper personnel administration, planning and conducting evaluation interviews twice a year. Furthermore, you enjoy coaching employees on personal development and encouraging them to show their own initiative. You are also in charge of the hotel’s Chinaware store. Here you are responsible for purchasing all non-food products, such as selecting tableware and negotiations with the suppliers. Furthermore, you are responsible on a daily basis for the quality assurance of HACCP in the three hotel kitchens.
You equally enjoy projects and are eager to be part of the workgroup that develops the vitality policy for employees. Hereby, you have the important role to include healthy and varied food options in the menu for our ambassador restaurant. Another project group you are involved in is ‘Planet 21’. Within this working group, the focus is on sustainable development within the hotel. We are looking for a candidate who values this and shows great interest in implementing innovative solutions.
