The Manager Store System is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, support, and optimization of all technology systems used in retail store environments. This includes point-of-sale (POS) systems, back-office systems, store networks, hardware (registers, RFID Reader, mobile devices), and associated software platforms. The role ensures that store technologies are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead store technology projects, system upgrades, and technology rollouts, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of in-store technology systems including POS, mobile POS, Omni-Channel Fulfillment, inventory management tools, and RFID etc.
  • Collaborate with the IT leadership to effectively schedule available resource capacity against project demand and to provide meaningful project start and milestone dates.
  • Work closely with Store Operations, Loss Prevention, Customer Service, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to understand business needs and implement effective solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve store efficiency, customer experience, and employee productivity.
  • Ensure store systems meet PCI-DSS and other relevant compliance standards. Work with the InfoSec team to address risks and ensure data protection.
  • Ensure scope, budget, timeline, risks, and issues are monitored and controlled throughout the project.
  • Comply with and demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle methodology (Waterfall/agile) for assigned projects and tasks.
  • Complete administrative tasks, such as time, invoice, and use access approval.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers related to store systems hardware and software.
  • Responsible for the assignment of internal project resources.
  • Lead, coach, and manages direct reports.
  • Set performance targets and monitor progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.
  • Allocate resources and assign responsibilities to effectively support projects, enhancements, and defect remediation initiatives.
  • Ensure that there is a business perspective on how any new technical capabilities will be integrated into the business, including planning around key business cycles, deployment planning, etc.
  • Ensure the deliverables are in place to achieve the projected business benefits.
  • Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and challenge performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
