Job Description
The Manager of Strategic Accounts is responsible for leading and growing relationships with a key distributor partner across the commercial channel. This role will drive strategic alignment, revenue growth, and operational excellence by developing and executing account-specific strategies that support both customer and company objectives. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, strategic thinker, and results-driven leader with a deep understanding of the distribution landscape.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic account management, preferably in the building materials, manufacturing, or distribution sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex customer relationships and delivering revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to customer sites and internal meetings.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working with national or regional distributors.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute multi-year strategic plans for assigned distributor accounts, aligning with broader commercial goals and market dynamics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic distributor. Build and maintain senior-level relationships to foster trust, loyalty, and long-term growth.
  • Drive achievement of sales targets and margin goals through effective planning, forecasting, and execution. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Service, and Finance to deliver tailored solutions and ensure seamless execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor account performance using KPIs and dashboards. Provide regular updates to leadership and adjust strategies as needed to meet evolving business needs.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to proactively shape account strategies and mitigate risks.
