About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi We are looking for a strategic finance leader to shape the Department of Internal Affairs’ long term financial direction. The Manager Strategic Finance leads enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, ensuring the Department has strong financial strategies and systems to support effective decision making. The role provides strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team and governance committees that contribute to a successful and financially sustainable organisation and enable evidence-based decisions. It plays a critical role in strengthening financial stewardship, embedding insight‑driven practices, and driving continuous improvement across DIA’s financial management system.   As a key advisor in the Department’s finance system, you will provide high‑quality insights and strategic advice that support the Department’s long-term financial sustainability and value for money. This includes planning and forecasting, financial performance reporting, and driving continuous improvement across our core financial management tools and processes. You will report to the Director Strategic Finance and Planning and lead a high performing team responsible for medium to long term financial planning and enterprise forecasting and management reporting.
