Description

OVERVIEW

To support the transformational growth of Geosource Energy Inc. (“GEI”), the Manager, Strategic Partnerships will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and supporting the expansion of GEI’s Geo-Exchange Renewable Energy Utility Portfolio.
This role is ideal for a technically minded relationship-builder who understands the value of collaboration in complex infrastructure and energy projects. Acting as the external face of GEI, you’ll engage with developers, engineers, architects, construction management firms, and institutional partners to align project needs with GEI’s capabilities and long-term strategy. You’ll also contribute to evolving our client engagement process, enhancing our market presence, and helping shape a high-performing, growth oriented culture.
Working cross-functionally with Design, Construction, and Operations, this position is integral to advancing GEI’s mission of delivering high-performance geothermal utility solutions across Canada.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a client-facing, strategic, or project development role—preferably in energy, infrastructure, or construction-related sectors.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong understanding of project-based work in energy, infrastructure, or building systems.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and identify opportunities that align with organizational goals.
  • Experience managing long partnership or stakeholder engagement cycles in complex B2B or institutional environments.
  • Familiarity with geoexchange systems, energy utilities, or sustainable building practices is a strong asset.
  • Proficient with CRM platforms and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating with internal technical teams and external development partners and technical consultants.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities, timelines, and cross-functional initiatives effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with decision-makers across GEI’s client and partner organizations.
  • Represent GEI in client meetings, industry events, and stakeholder engagements to promote geoexchange adoption.
  • Help advance project opportunities by identifying ways to progress and develop these projects to achieve their building decarbonization goals.
  • Track project activities using the digital CRM system, ensuring team visibility and alignment throughout the sales cycle, and liaise with the clients during this process.
  • Collaborate with the Construction and Project Management teams to align project capacity, timelines, and deliverables with client expectations.
  • Contribute to project viability assessments and geoexchange system recommendations based on overall project goals and constraints.
  • Support the refinement of GEI’s proposed solutions through critical analysis of project-specific challenges—whether it’s a tight schedule, limited footprint, or complex development conditions.
  • Develop tailored client strategies by identifying key decision-makers, aligning messaging with sector specific priorities, and supporting outreach efforts such as presentations, proposals, and stakeholder meetings.
