EXPERIENCE

  • Experience leading, coordinating and managing projects or initiatives, program delivery, and management of strategic plans
  • Experience working collaboratively with internal teams, managers and directors on strategic priorities, and be able to provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on complex issues*.
  • Experience working in collaboration with Indigenous stakeholders.
  • Complex issues are defined as involving at least two (2) of the following criteria: multi-year or multi-phase, sensitive or high profile, multiple stakeholders or jurisdictions, and competing objectives or priorities.

  • Experience working in program delivery.
  • Experience in the administration of funding agreements.
  • Experience in the development or management of strategic plans.
  • Experience working in northern or cross-cultural environments.
  • Experience leading a team or an interdisciplinary group.

ABILITIES

  • Ability to effectively communicate orally
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing
  • Ability to manage workload under tight deadlines
  • Ability to synthesize information, present analysis, and provide strategic advice and recommendations
    The following criteria are essential for the job, but assessed later using different assessment methods (written exam, interview, reference check, etc.).

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing and able to work overtime on short notice, when required
  • Willing and able to travel, when required.

Responsibilities

✔️ Leads the development and implementation of projects or initiatives, business and strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes. Analyzes and synthesizes data, coordinates input and feedback into plans, and presents strategic advice and recommendations to senior management.
✔️ Liaises with Region and Headquarters to identify strategic context, priorities, and opportunities. Promotes alignment with priorities identified by First Nation governments.
✔️ Provides strategic oversight and operational coordination for the intake and resolution of information and privacy requests, both formal and informal, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements, court orders, and organizational policies. Collaborates across Region and Headquarters to interpret and apply relevant frameworks consistently and effectively.
