About the Role: We are currently seeking to appoint a Full Time (Permanent)- Manager – Strategic Vendor Partnerships at THQ Blackburn, VIC. Purpose of the Role: The Manager, Strategic Vendor Partnerships is responsible for building a strategic vendor management capability for IT products and services, driving efficiencies, quality, and cost optimisation across the vendor lifecycle. This role ensures robust vendor performance management aligned with contractual obligations, while building strategic relationships that deliver long-term value to the organisation. The position will define and implement best practices for vendor onboarding and integration, performance management and ongoing support. In addition, it will provide subject matter expertise to Enterprise Procurement on vendor evaluation and selection. Key Responsibilities: You will be successful in this role if you can: Provide expert input to enterprise procurement processes for IT products and services, including tendering, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and compliance with TSA Procurement Policy. Develop and implement a strategic vendor partnerships model and best practices to optimise IT spend and lifecycle value. Provide expert guidance to IT leadership, business and project teams on vendor performance, contract disputes, and risk mitigation. Collaborate with Business Owners to define technical requirements and support models. Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate invoicing, budgeting, and robust business case development. Drive cost savings through renewal strategies, software licensing optimisation, and competitive vendor analysis. Build and manage a high-performing team, overseeing licensing, vendor integration and support, vendor performance. Act as a subject matter expert, providing input on IT alignment and technical feasibility for enterprise tenders. Qualifications and Experience: Holds a bachelor’s degree in business or IT. Extensive experience managing strategic vendor relationships and contracts within the IT sector, including performance monitoring and dispute resolution. Demonstrated working knowledge of current contract management concepts and terminology. Proven ability to translate requirements as input to go-to-market and negotiation strategies for technology solutions and services. Strong background in software licensing, including establishment, optimisation, and compliance. Skilled in IT financial management, including budgeting and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis. Demonstrated experience in IT procurement, including go-to-market strategies, probity, and managing SLAs and Statements of Work. Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives, streamlining workflows and enhancing operational efficiency.
