Job Description: Department Overview: The Regulatory Capabilities and Delivery Centre of Excellence owns the Data Management Strategy for Canadian Personal Banking and supports the delivery of large regulatory change initiatives on behalf of Canadian Personal Banking. In role you will work with Journeys, Platforms, Legal, and others to find solutions to complex business challenges. This role will give you great exposure to multiple Journeys and Platforms and space for you to demonstrate your leadership. Job Responsibilities: Own Data Concerns Management for Canadian Personal Banking (CPB). Identify and engage key partners relevant to identified data issues related to Data Quality, Data Sourcing, Metadata, and Data Retention & Disposition. Lead investigations into root causes for data issues and ensure timely resolution. Lead the prioritization and planning for Data concerns management. Analyze and understand business and data requirements to develop comprehensive business solutions, including data models (entity relationship diagrams, dimensional data models), business rules, data life-cycle management, governance, lineage, metadata, and reporting elements. Work closely with technology and project teams to understand business data needs and provide analysis and requirements that align data management activities with enterprise standards. Ensure business data and information is retained and disposed of in compliance with enterprise data standards, policies, and guidelines. Lead the identification of critical data elements to support Business Segment data governance and/or data management frameworks or programs. Support knowledge transfer and data expertise activities to support business teams utilizing information management solutions. Support establishment of Data Management standards and processes for the CPB business. Support the design of CPB Data Strategy and Roadmap. Support prioritization of business data initiatives and ongoing update of roadmap. Collaborate with partners across CPB to ensure cross-functional alignment. Develop and maintain relationships with data partners, the Enterprise Data Management office, and other stakeholders to support data management initiatives. Support design and implementation of processes aligned to data information management standards, ensuring data quality (e.g., rules, thresholds, assessments) and requirements are developed. Support knowledge transfer and data expertise activities to support business teams utilizing information management solutions. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices, implementing new tools and methodologies as needed. Develop and maintain knowledge of data available from upstream sources and within various platforms. Utilize business information management data deliverables as required. Perform data profiling using TD tooling and ad hoc system query languages to validate data analysis. Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies related to data activities for the business area. Experience & Education: Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science). 5+ years of relevant experience with large program or project delivery with enterprise impact. 3+ years of relevant experience in Data Governance, Data Management, and/or Data Quality. Strong skills in managing partners and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet strategic direction, business and technical requirements, budget, scalability, and architectural goals, with risks and impacts considered. Knowledge and experience in the financial services industry, including banking and insurance products, corporate finance, risk management, statutory reporting practices, regulatory compliance practices, and the associated supporting data. Experience with data discovery, data classification, de-identification, and anonymization tools and techniques, including understanding of in-house and third-party architectures.
