About the Strategy & Operations Team Standard is growing quickly, and our team exists to make that growth work. As the company scales, we’re building the strategy, data layer, and tech-enabled workflows that unlock speed — allowing us to build housing at a time when the U.S. is short millions of affordable units and demand far outpaces supply. We operate like a product-minded team inside a mission-driven company: shipping improvements, testing ideas, and building the systems that will support the next stage of growth. About the Role Standard’s Strategy & Operations group is looking for a strong, operations-minded consultant or banker with 2-4 years of experience to join us. The work centers on advancing the CEO’s priority initiatives, including improving how deal teams source and structure projects and how operations support those deals post-close. The role offers direct access to functional leaders across the business and a front-row view of how affordable housing deals actually are built and run. You’ll be involved from early problem framing through design and real implementation. Requirements * 2-4 years of experience at a top-tier consulting firm, investment banking firm, or private equity firm * Strong problem-solving and communication skills * Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills * Experience in strategic business planning, revenue optimization, and operational scaling in a multi-entity organization * Familiarity with real estate is a plus, but a track record in solving complex business problems and executing growth initiatives is a must You are our ideal candidate if you… * Want to help build the internal infrastructure of a company in high-growth mode * Are motivated by solving the real demand for affordable housing in the U.S. * Are curious about how affordable housing deals get sourced, structured, closed, and run * Get energy from open-ended problems and figuring out “how this should work” * Think in systems and spot when processes break, slow down, or won’t scale with volume * Bring strong problem-solving and structuring skills * Communicate clearly and work well across functions * Feel comfortable working directly with senior leadership * Can expertly map workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design robust but practical solutions * Want exposure to transactions, financing, operations, and the full lifecycle of a deal * Are excited by building the strategy, data, and tech foundations that support the company’s next stage of growth
