Overview: Full-time Fixed Term position until 30th October 2026 HEW8 Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working We are seeking an experienced Student Recruitment Manager (School Leaver) to play a key leadership role in driving RMIT’s domestic secondary school leaver recruitment strategy across Vocational Education and Undergraduate programs. You will lead the development and delivery of high-impact recruitment initiatives that build awareness, engagement and applications from prospective students. You will bring together market insights, stakeholder engagement and data-driven strategy to support RMIT’s growth priorities and deliver strong recruitment outcomes. This role is responsible for managing high-value relationships with secondary schools, parents, community organisations and government partners, while working closely with teams across Experience, Marketing, Admissions and the University Colleges. You will also oversee school engagement activities, events and outreach programs, ensuring a high-quality experience for prospective students and key influencers. About You You are a confident people leader with strong experience in student recruitment or engagement within an education environment. You bring a deep understanding of the secondary and tertiary sectors and have a proven ability to build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also have: Demonstrated experience leading and supporting staff in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability Experience using data and insights to inform planning and decision-making High digital capability and the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and tools Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
