Description
  • Follow up on corrective action plans following incidents involving subcontractors (OHS, environmental, disciplinary, etc.).
  • Produce OHS-related reports for subcontractor teams.
  • Prepare work permits and inspection requests in accordance with established processes.
  • Validate equipment inspections carried out by subcontractor teams.
  • Ensure all deliverables and service requirements specified in work orders are defined and incorporated into contracts.
  • Prepare and coordinate subcontractor performance evaluation, in collaboration with the management team and the Purchasing Department.
  • Submit subcontracting requests according to the planning.
  • Verify and enter subcontractor hours into the time management system.
  • Approve invoices and charge codes related to work orders.
  • Produce reports on productivity and compliance with established subcontracting deadlines.
  • Coordinate subcontracted work in collaboration with ship managers.
  • Plan training needs in collaboration with the Training Department.
  • Prepare complaint reports for subcontracted labour suppliers, when applicable.
  • Oversee day-to-day relations with subcontractor teams on-site.
  • Maintain effective relationships with ship managers, the Purchasing and Training Departments, labour suppliers, and internal partners.
  • Ensure clear communication of expectations, contractual follow-ups, and operational objectives related to subcontracting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant experience in managing subcontractors in the field.
  • Good knowledge of the construction industry, particularly within large-scale construction sites.
  • Advanced level of English (both written and spoken). This level of English is required for this position as the incumbent will be required to interact with English-speaking suppliers.
  • Experience in contract management (strong asset).
  • Ability to manage multiple client-supplier relationships simultaneously.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Leadership, autonomy, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Successful completion of the investigation and security clearance process required by the federal government’s Contract Security Program.
