Job Title: SUIT Manager Function: Supply Chain Location: Mumbai HO Reports to: SUIT Director Req ID: R-1170168 Job Purpose The SUIT Manager is responsible for driving innovations, operational excellence, and cost optimization across sourcing units in India. The role ensures seamless execution of new product introductions, technology deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives to support category growth and factory efficiency. Key Responsibilities 1. Innovations Management Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams for product development. Design and execute plant trials to validate feasibility and capability. Drive product value improvement and cost reduction projects. Manage innovations and renovations to enhance product portfolio. 2. Process Plant & Operations Management Implement end-of-line automation for operational efficiency. Optimize packaging and apply lean principles for focused improvements. Ensure productivity and achieve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) of 70%. Develop and maintain a 5-year capacity planning roadmap. Maintain process safety, electrical safety, and product quality standards. Manage waste reduction for packaging and raw materials. 3. Technology and Project Management Design, deploy, install, and commission automation equipment. Lead installation and commissioning of new machinery. Drive early equipment management and rigorous project management for cost control and vertical ramp-up. 4. Quality & Safety Implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP & CCPs. Manage quality change and incident investigations. Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with process safety and machinery standards. Lead emergency response planning and safety audits. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical) or related field. 6–10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably FMCG. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization. Proven track record in project management and technology deployment. Skills & Competencies Leadership and team management skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Expertise in automation and process improvement. Strong communication and stakeholder management. Focus on sustainability and operational excellence. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Successful execution of innovation and renovation projects. Achievement of OEE targets and productivity improvements. Reduction in manufacturing costs and waste. Compliance with safety and quality standards.
