SEABIRD is coming to Margate!
After two successful years trading in Ramsgate we are expanding to a new site on the sea front in Margate in the Autumn.
SEABIRD is a bar and cafe specialising in classic and contemporary cocktails, low-intervention wine, locally sourced, seasonal food and speciality coffee.
We are looking to hire a supervisor/manager to help lead the team and prepare us for launch.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for someone who has some or all of the following skills:

  • Run a section in a busy restaurant/table service bar.
  • Make and prepare modern and classic cocktails quickly and efficiently.
  • Recommend and confidently talk about wine (with a focus on low-intervention and local wines)
  • Prepare and serve third-wave artisan coffee (flat whites/cortados/etc).
  • Manage bookings and respond to guests emails and enquiries.
  • Make sure the venue is kept clean and organised at all times.
  • Work with the Bar Manager to ensure that ordering is completed satisfactorily.
  • Cash up and complete basic financial reporting.
  • Work with the Head Chef to ensure that menus are correct and up-to-date.
  • Ensure that the EPOS system is kept up-to-date with menu changes.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years experience (or more!) in a FOH or bar role in a quality food & drink venue.
  • Knowledge of basic classic cocktails & wine.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate preferred, but we can provide.
    We offer a package built around a standard basic wage topped up with a generous service charge that will bring your earnings up to a level that is appropriate for your experience.
    Job Type: Permanent
    Pay: £13.50-£17.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week
